Schedule
New this year at the R8 Meeting! Considering the feedback received during the last Region 8 Meetings, we have created for our participants different program options. These are based on the level of the leadership experience in an elected chapter leader role and based on the number of PMI events they have attended. Therefore we are recommending our attendees to make their session selection considering the following color codes.
Color codes:
Red (experienced level): chapter leader with 4+ years in an elected chapter leader role and who had attended 3+ PMI events (R8 Meetings or LIMs)
Orange (medium level): chapter leader with 3-4 years in an elected chapter leader role and who had attended 2-3 PMI events (R8 Meetings or LIMs)
Green (entry level): chapter leader with <2 years in an elected chapter leader role and who had attended 0-1 PMI events (R8 Meetings or LIMs)
This doesn’t mean that an experienced level volunteer cannot attend a session dedicated to the participants with entry level of experience, however, if limited seats, the participants that fall under the Green category will have priority.
Please note that a full program will be available soon. The below is only an indication of the beginning and the ending of each conference day.

Wilem Van Mulders Bio
My passion is taking ideas and making sure they become reality, I am a project manager.
I started my career writing software for different companies in different industries (wholesales, Banking, Insurance, Telecom, Marketing) having completed my Bachelor degree.
After a few years in the business and a couple of employers I started to see the lack of vision in IT. Software was needed to support business initiatives and not the other way round. Companies were missing the "Why" in projects. This triggered me to go study again to obtain a master degree in applied Economics.
During that time I was running projects and got more interested and passionate about project management. I saw project management as a means to optimize the use of scarce resources to reach the business objectives. It was at that time that I also joined PMI Belgium as a member because I was looking for a good network and skilled professional colleagues
I continued project management during the rest of my career as a consultant as well as an employee in several companies
After being member for some years I also wanted to contribute to the PMI Belgium Chapter and started to volunteer. The last two years I wanted to help and develop some new initiatives for the PMI Belgium Chapter and therefore I joined the PMI Board.
Frank Turley Bio
Frank is on a mission to help aspiring project managers gain practical experience. He does this through his writings, sample projects, tips, and innovative ways of teaching the PM methodologies.
We learn to be better project managers not by attending one short classroom training, but by gradually learning and practicing new skills and constantly keeping on the edge of our comfort zone. Frank would like each organization to provide their project managers with a skill development plan, and this is why communities like PMI and IPMA are so important.
Frank Turley is a PM/PMO author, speaker, and adviser.
